Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say opened his door during while a gas station car wash was running, causing “significant damage” to the wash.

The Placerville Police Department says the man, pictured in the surveillance photo above, visited the ARCO at 3025 Forni Road at 7:24 p.m. Monday.

He drove his dually pick-up truck into the car wash, but opened his driver’s side door while the wash was operating, police said in a press release.

Police say opening his door damaged the wash and his truck, and they’re asking anyone who recognizes the man to call Placerville Police Department Detective Ron Cannon at 530-642-5210 ext. 314.
