Drivers on Mount Aukum Road may see delays for the next two months.

El Dorado County officials say the Mount Aukum Road bridge over the North Fork of the Cosumnes River will be reduced to one lane from March 10 until sometime in May.

During that time, crews will overhaul the deck and walkway of the bridge, according to a press release.

The work will affect both lanes of the bridge, so temporary traffic signals will restrict the bridge to one direction of traffic at a time.

“Portable changeable message signs will be in place to advise approaching motorists of the exact date of closure,” the press release states.

Residents with questions about the lane closure may contact El Dorado County Transportation Department Resident Engineer┬áMonika Pedigo at 530-621-5954 or [email protected]
